9-11: Five Years Later

On September 11, 2001 we were attacked by Islamic fascists. There is no government conspiracy or cover-up. The simple truth is that we were attacked. It is a day I will remember as long as I live. I was on vacation at a resort in Idaho on 9-11-01. I was awoken by the maid telling me that New York City was under attack. My first thought was that she was exagerrating. She proceeded to tell me that both of the towers of the World Trade Center had fallen down and were no more, the Pentagon had been attacked, and another plane (flight 93) was missing. I was still incredulous. I turned on the TV and saw the images. The word I've heard many people use is sureal. It was definitely sureal.

I really don't want to make a politcal commentary out of this. I just hope people will recognize that there are people in this world that want to do serious harm to the United States. I also hope that people will realize that nearly 3,000 people died on 9-11-01.

I have not read the 9-11 Commision Report, it's something that I should do and something that every American should do. I don't know why this nation is so inclined to believe conspiracy theories.

I think it's important for any critical thinker to look at both sides of an issue and use some reasoning. There is a priciple used in Philosophy, known as Occam's razor, which states that the most plausable explanation is usually the correct explanation. For anyone that is getting information from the 911 conspiracy sites, I would also recommend that you go to http://www.debunking911.com/ so that you can get the other side of the story. Use some critical thought and scientific reasoning. I still respect your opinion.

Most importantly, let us never forget! It's not a question of if we'll be attacked again, it's a question of when.
